Reflect on these powerful verses from the scriptures that call us to repentance, healing, and revival:


2 Chronicles 7:14-15 (Restoration, Healing & Revival follow Repentance)

If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, & I will forgive their sin & will heal their land. Now my eyes will be open and my ears attentive to the prayers offered in this place.


This scripture emphasizes the power of humility, prayer, and turning away from sin. It assures us that God hears our prayers, forgives our sins, and heals our land when we seek His face and repent.


Hosea 10:12

Sow righteousness for yourselves, reap the fruit of unfailing love, and break up your unplowed ground; for it is time to seek the Lord, unit He comes and showers His righteousness on you.


This verse calls us to sow seeds of righteousness and reap the fruit of God’s unfailing love. It urges us to break up the hard ground of our hearts and seek the Lord until He showers His righteousness upon us.


Day 1: Let Go Of The Old

Read Philippians 3:13-14. Reflect upon old sins and habits that may be holding you back. Repent and release these things to embrace what God has in store for this season. Learn more about the meaning of repentance and its significance.

Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, 14 I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.


What Does it mean to Repent? Repent – to pant, to sigh, or to turn; return. A genuine repentance is a radical change in one’s attitude toward sin and God. A conscious, moral separation and a personal decision to forsake sin and to enter into fellowship with God.


Day 2: Dream Big And Trust God

Read Romans 15:13 and Ephesians 3:20. Identify your expectations from God. Create a dream board, write your vision, and trust in God’s plan for your life.

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us.


Day 3: Make Room

Read Isaiah 43:19. Choose to give up something valuable or enjoyable for the next seven days to make room for God’s new blessings.

See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.


Day 4: Go Deeper With God and Take Personal Inventory

Read Hebrews 12. Identify any false beliefs you hold and replace them with the truth of God’s word.

… Let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up.

Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me…


Philippians 1:6

…being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.


Day 5: Uphold Your Standards

Read Romans 8. Ask God to highlight areas where you have compromised or lowered your standards. Strive for holiness to experience the fullness of God’s presence.


Romans 12:1

In view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy & pleasing to God—this is your true & proper worship.


Psalm 51:1-3

Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions. Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin. For I acknowledge my transgressions, & my sin is always before me. Against You, You only, have I sinned & done this evil in Your sight.


Day 6: Cleanse Your Heart

Read Psalm 139. Ask God to reveal anything that you desire more than Him and cleanse your heart.

Psalm 51:10-12

Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me away from Your presence, and do not take Your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of Your salvation…


Day 7: Renew & Purify Your Mind

Read 1 Thessalonians 5. Reflect on whether your thoughts are pleasing to God and if they produce Godly actions.

For you are all children of the light and of the day; we don’t belong to darkness and night.


Colossians 3:2

Set your minds on things above, not earthly things. For you died & your life is now hidden in Christ


Romans 12:2

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is–his good, pleasing, and perfect will.


Day 8: Align Your Words with God’s

Read Ephesians 4. Choose to speak life and positivity, aligning your words with God’s intentions.

Let the words of my mouth, & the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in your sight, O Lord …

Day 9: Live a Spirit-Led Life

Read Galatians 5. Reflect on whether your life invites and honors the Holy Spirit daily.


Galatians 5:16 But I say, live by the Spirit & you will not carry out the desires of the flesh

Do you not know that you are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in you?“


Day 10: Seek God First

Read Matthew 6. Identify areas where you need to prioritize God over your personal desires.


John 3:30

He must increase, I must decrease.


Matthew 6:33

Seek first the kingdom of God & His righteousness, & all these things will be given to you as well.

As we prepare to enter the Day of Atonement, join us for a Night Of Prayer on Sunday, September 24, at 6 PM at our Forest Park Campus. This will be followed by a 24-hour liquid-only fast from Sundown Sunday, September 24- Sundown Monday, September 25. Together, let’s make a conscious effort to repent, refocus, and recommit.
